When the incredible Jose Villa sent us this stunning wedding, we all swooned in unisom! Bridget and Justin were married at the beautiful {Crossroads Estate}. The venue coupled with the lovely arrangements of orchids and succulents created by {Camilla Svensson Burns Couture Floral & Event Design} made for the perfect setting. The colorful bridesmaid’s dresses were from {J.Crew} and Bridget’s stunning gown was custom designed by Bridget herself and {Brides by Liza}. Catering was done by {Plemmons Catering} and {Leda’s Bake Shope} created the sweet little bite-sized cupcakes. {MAK Events} helped plan the wonderful soiree and of course the beautiful images are from our friend {Jose Villa} who also was the photographer behind our gorgeous cover couple Chelsea + Tec! How did the two of you meet? Tell us your story. We met the summer after I graduated from high school in Virginia, at a party. I was immediately smitten with the young man from California and asked my friends to “accidentally” leave me at the party. So, I asked Justin for a ride home. We began dating and after 2 years of dating we decided we were too young to commit. We broke up but always kept in touch. Justin moved back out to California. I finished college in Virginia and moved to LA. One day Justin called me and asked to hang out and we’ve been together since.
What was the design inspiration for your wedding? The inspiration was the gorgeous landscape of Los Olivos. Bright pinks, oranges and browns were used to create a rich, warm and inviting atmosphere. Lots of fun and little fuss.
Favorite design element of your big day: Marigolds and lanterns on the tables
Tell us about finding your wedding dress: I didn’t try on a single dress. I always knew what I wanted. Brides by Liza was recommended by a friend so I went, described my dream dress and had it made.
Describe your wedding flowers: Our flowers were gorgeous we used succulents and orchids.
Describe your wedding cake: We had bite size cupcakes for our wedding cake.
What advice would you give to someone planning their wedding? Relax, have fun, know that things will go wrong but it won’t matter in the end. If your guests see the bride and the groom having a good time they will too. Enjoy it! Make sure you check in with each other throughout the evening because it goes quickly and everyone wants your attention.
What’s next for you as a couple? What are you looking forward to in the future? Enjoying married life and traveling the world, then babies.
Congratulations Bridget + Justin! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
